THE ARTIST
Originally from Wisconsin, Lou Ann spent her early years drawing. In the 3rd grade, her homework was to draw an illustration of a story. The drawing was a very detailed stage coach. The teacher thought that the drawing was traced and issued an F. From then on, her artistic endeavors were stalled until high school. Her art then took on several medians and subjects. In 2014, Lou Ann was presented with the Certificate of Completion in the Art Masters Program from artist Daniel Edmondson in Colorado Springs, CO. While running a small business in Lake Worth Beach, FL, she still made time for artistic expression. Her art now consists of acrylic and alcohol ink on canvas or birch panels, watercolor, pencil and Resin. Representational, contemporary and realistic art are her current expressions after years of classic still life study. Her work is known for captivating and evocative paintings that transcend traditional boundaries. She has a profound passion for color and form. Her work has been displayed in several South Florida galleries and in Manhattan, New York.
